My friend, Valarie, and I got to attend a one-man show of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” performed by his great-great grandson, Gerald Dickens. It was fabulous, and in a great setting, too (the Cabin by the Spring at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage). We both realized we had most of the book memorized and have officially declared ourselves Dickens nerds. If this performance comes anywhere near you, go see it! It’s worth it.
