I may not have killed anyone off yet in my book, but I am losing my mind over P.G. Wodehouse! He is a British author whose writing spanned the twentieth century. He writes what he describes as “romantic comedies”. He’s best known for his characters Jeeves and Wooster. He’s brilliantly descriptive. Here’s an example.
“Somewhere out of sight a kettle bubbled in an undertone, like a whispering pessimist.”

And another:
“She fitted into my biggest armchair as if it had been built round her by someone who knew they were wearing armchairs tight about the hips that season. When she spoke she showed about fifty-seven front teeth.”
