In Duel, I base my fictitious estate, Hampstead Hall, on the very real estate of Great Fosters in Surrey, England. Once a hunting lodge of Henry VIII, this Tudor mansion and estate is now a hotel. The Tapestry Room is one of the luxury hotel rooms, but it used to be the upstairs Drawing Room. In the novel, this room has a very important significance to the plot, and it has to do with these leaded panes. What is the mystery behind these mullioned windows? You’ll have to read Duel to find out. New projected release date of June 2019.
